How to Connect to the "CI" Wireless Network

The CI wireless network provides secure Internet access for CSUCI students, employees and affiliates, and provides them with access to network printers and shared drives.

Instructions for Windows 11

1. Click on the wifi options and select CI

2. Enter your myCI Username and Password

3. Select Connect and wait for verifications
 

4. CI will prompt Connected

1. Click on the start menu and select settings

Instructions for Windows 8

1. Right click Wireless Connections (located at the bottom right of the screen) > Open Network and Sharing Center

3. Enter the following information > Next
 Network name: ci OR eduroam
​​​​​​​ Security type: wpa2-enterprise
 Encryption type: aes
​​​​​​​ Start this connection automatically: checked

6. Select Advance settings on CI Wireless Network Properties window under Security tab > check Specify authentication mode > OK

7. Select Wireless Connections (located at the bottom right of the screen) > Select CI or eduroam > Enter myCI Username and Password

1. Select Wireless Connections (located at the bottom right of the screen) > Open Network and Sharing Center

Network name: ci

Security type: wpa2-enterprise

Wireless setup for personal laptop – Mac OS X – 10.8 & above

1. Select Network Connections (located at the top right of the screen) > CI

** Note: if prompted you may need to enter your credentials for your laptop to update your Keychain Access

1. Select Settings icon > Wi-Fi settings > Select CI or eduroam

Instructions for Android before version 11

1. Open WiFi settings by finding and selecting WLAN/WiFi in the Settings app, or by pressing and holding the WiFi symbol in the pulldown menu.​​​​​​​

2. Make sure that WiFi is turned on. Tap CI in the list of available networks.

3. Use the following settings as pictured at right:

EAP: PEAP

​​​​​​​ Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2

CA certificate: Do not validate​​​​​​​

4. Scroll down, then input your Dolphin name into the Identity field (e.g. Ekho.Dolphin805)
and your myCI password in the Password field. Tap Connect to connect to the CI WiFi network.
