Disabling Automatic Video on Jabber Calls

By default, Cisco Jabber will start all calls with video if your computer is equipped with a webcam. To prevent Jabber from automatically starting all calls with video, the following steps may be used:

Windows

  1. Open Cisco Jabber.
  2. Click the settings gear and click Options
  3. Click Calls from the left pane, and select Never start calls with video.
    Jabber Settings - Windows
  4. Click Apply, then click OK to save the setting.
  5. Jabber calls will now start with video disabled. Video can be enabled manually during calls by clicking the icon to enable webcam as pictured below.
