Safelisting Trusted Addresses

The instructions below can be used to safelist trusted senders in Dolphin Email (such as email addresses on the @csuci.edu or @myci.csuci.edu domains).

  1. Log into Dolphin Email from a Web browser.

  2. Select Spam from the list of folders and labels on the left side of the screen (you may have to scroll down and select More to expand the folder options).

  3. Find the email that should be safelisted moving forward and open it.
     
  4. Select the three dots next to the Reply button, then select Filter messages like this

  5. Select Create filter on the bottom right

  6. Under When a message is an exact match for your search criteria, select the checkbox next to Never send it to Spam, then click the Create filter button.

  7. After the filter has been created, you can choose to move the current email to the Inbox by selecting the Not Spam button.

  8. Future messages received from the address will be received in your Inbox instead of your Spam folder. 

Repeat these steps as necessary to safelist other senders. If further assistance is needed, please submit an ITS ticket or contact the ITS Help Desk at 805-437-8552.

Safelisting the @csuci.edu Domain

  1. Log in to your Gmail account or Dolphin Mail account using a Web browser and click on Settings Icon

  2. Click on See all settings

  3. Click on Filters and Blocked Addresses

  4. Click on Create a new filter

  5. Add "*@csuci.edu" in the From Section, then clickt he Create Filter button

  6. Check the “Never send it to Spam” Box and click on Create Filter

  7. Confirm that it is setup correctly and should look at the following
