The following steps can be used to obtain the hostname of a Windows 10 or MacOS computer:
Windows 10
Right-click on the Start button.
Click "System"
You're computer's hostname will be listed in the "Device name" field
MacOS
Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner.
Click on System Preferences
.
Click on Sharing.
The computer name will appear at the top of the window that opens in the Computer Name field.
