How do I connect to the "eduroam" wireless network?

Overview of Eduroam

The eduroam wireless network service allows traveling and visiting students, faculty, and staff to connect securely to wireless networks using their home campus' user name and passwords. Visit the eduroam site for participating colleges and universities located in more than 60 countries around the world.

There is no need for members of the CI community to sign up for guest wireless access at other participating eduroam campuses. Devices will work the same as they do at one's home campus.

For CI Students and Employees visiting Eduroam participating campuses

As a CI student or employee, when you visit an eduroam participating institution, connect to their eduroam wireless network using the following information:

Network name: eduroam

Eduroam user name: your Dolphin Name + "@csuci.edu"

  • CI Students: for example, if your Dolphin Name is tracy.smith123, use tracy.smith123@csuci.edu as your Eduroam user name
  • CI Employees: for example, if your Dolphin Name is pat.jones, use pat.jones@csuci.edu as your Eduroam user name

Eduroam password: your Dolphin Password

For visitors from other Eduroam participating campuses who are visiting CI

eduroam requires a username and password from your participating campus. Often your username is your email address (e.g., user.name@yourschool.edu) and your password is the same password you use at your institution. Please check with the technology support at your institution for a description of what user name and password you should use when joining the eduroam network.

Network name: eduroam

Eduroam user name: contact technology support at your institution

Eduroam password: contact technology support at your institution
