How do I find a MAC address on my campus phone?
A MAC address is a 12 digit identifier that is unique to a device on a network that can be used for identification. It can be any combination of the numbers 0-9 and the letters A-F.
Cisco phone models 8851/8861:
The MAC address can be found by:
- Clicking the Gear button
- go to "6. Admin Settings"
- then click "1. Network Setup"
- then click "1.Ethernet Setup"
- Then select option 3 to display the MAC address.
It can also be found on the back of the phone in the bottom right corner.
Cisco phone models 79XX
The MAC address can be found by pressing the "Checkbox" button and choosing "5. Model Information", which will display the MAC address.
It can also be found as a sticker on the back of the phone in the bottom center or on the middle of the phone (as pictured below):
