Overview
When you attended CSUCI, you signed up for a free Microsoft Office 365 account linked to your student email. CSUCI's Microsoft license agreement does not allow alumni to keep their Microsoft Office 365 accounts indefinitely. ITS will allow the usage of this account until December 31st, 2022, so that you can migrate to a free Microsoft account not linked to CSUCI. Your account currently works as it always did but starting on 7/1/2022 access will be provided on the Microsoft Office 365 page as username@mycicsuci.onmicrosoft.com (Old –username@myci.csuci.edu New – username@mycicsuci.onmicrosoft.com).
Important points:
- Your password will remain the same.
- If prompted if it is a personal or a work/school account upon logging in, please make sure that the personal account is selected.
Migrating to Free Microsoft Account
A free personal Microsoft OneDrive account can be created at http://www.onedrive.com. Once the personal account has been created, download the content of your alumni OneDrive account, then upload the content into the free personal account. Personal OneDrive accounts have a storage capacity limit of 5 GB.
